Week 40 - 9 Months Along!

Sorry everyone. here is Camris email from last week. I forgot to send it along.

Hello all!

What a week, am I right?? I arrived in Wenatchee on Wednesday and oh boy it's been an adventure. I felt so sad to say goodbye to my friends in Ephrata. But I'll see them again. :) Good news! Sister Baggett, my new companion, started her mission here in this same area. It was about a year ago but she still remembers where things are pretty good! This is probably her last area too before she goes home. So she started here, and she'll end here. Pretty cool eh? There seems to be a lot of work going on in the ward right now. It's awesome! We've kind of just been thrown onto a moving train, so we're trying hard to get things all figured out. We have one investigator here named Jeremy that is getting baptized in a couple of weeks! We met with him on Friday. He loves studying the gospel and the missionaries that were here before us left a note saying to be prepared for hard questions. And he did have some pretty hard questions! But he doesn't seem to let his questions shake his faith. Which is awesome. :) Oh! We had a lesson with Debbie on Tuesday and it was SO good. When we first got there, she told us that she had watched a bunch of videos on the gospel library app and that she finally understood the Restoration! She also watched the hour long video about President Monson and told us all about it! She's been telling her boyfriend about all of the things we've been teaching her and he decided to come to the last lesson and he wants to learn with her. She told us she knows it's true because of the way she feels when she studies the Book of Mormon. She is planning on getting baptized in June! I had to say goodbye to her... But I'll get to go back when she gets baptized which is really exciting. It was amazing to see her desire to learn! She basically taught the lessons to herself before we even got there haha. Skyping my family yesterday was a huge highlight of my week. They're so cute. :') Oh! Haha yesterday we walked into church and I went to introduce myself to a lady sitting on the pew. I didn't even say my name before she pulled me in for a tight bear hug! She started swinging me back and forth as she said, "I've missed you so much!!! It's so good to see you!!!" I think she is mentally challenged... But it felt so good to be welcomed so warmly into the ward! ❤ I had never seen her in my life. But obviously she remembers me somehow...?

The Yakima Washington mission is definitely the greatest place to be. I love it here. Have a great
week everyone!!!

Love, Sister Jensen

Here's some pictures from this week!

1: Erika and Jim Fish. Some of my FAVORITE people.

2: Debbie ❤

3: Joyce 💕

4: this is the back room of the Thrift Store in Ephrata that we always did service for.

5: Sister Baggett and I didn't want a bunk bed in the front room so we took it apart and tried to move it into the bedroom....not our smartest idea. It got stuck in the doorway. And then it was bedtime so we just slept on the floor on our mattresses. We took the bed apart the next day with a screwdriver and were able to finally get it through! We felt majorly accomplished hahah

6: Sister Crookston got transferred to the Dalles so she had to leave early. I was still in my pajamies when she left. I'm going to miss her so much :'(

7: these are the sisters in my area. We did some service on Thursday helping a lady sort food!

8: IT'S A BOY!!! Hahah just kidding. This pic is a joke. Since I'm "9 months along" in my mission, I had to take a 9 months along picture ;)
