Week 44 - Take Out the Trash

This week started out a little different! On Tuesday we were put in a
tripan companionship with Sister Hatch because her Companion went home.  Sothey did an emergency transfer and brought a Sister into our zone fromGoldendale.  Guess who it is?..... SISTER CROOKSTON!!! God must have knewthat we couldn't stay separated for too long :') #blessingsWe did a bunch of service on Tuesday.  Yard work alllll day long.  Two ofthe people we did service for lived up the mountain a little ways and itwas BEAUTIFUL! I love Wenatchee!
Zone Conference this week was so good! It was President and Sister Lewis'last one so we had to say goodbye... it was an emotional day for a lot ofpeople I think haha.  President sang to us! I didn't even know that hesang! I am so happy that they only live in Orem so I can go and visit themwhen I get home from my mission :)
We found a few new people this week to start teaching! One is an older mannamed Dennis that we gave a Book of Mormon to.  He LOVES his little dog andit ran out down the road so we had to go catch it for him haha.  We alsoare starting to teach the little girl that we met a couple of weeks ago.Remember the one that said hi to us on the streets and asked if we were theMormon girls? We went to see her again and she gave us a huge hug! She toldus that she really likes us and that she reads the bible and the Book ofMormon everyday! Her mom gave us permission to start meeting with her! Andthis week we are going to start teaching a YSA aged girl named Kimberly.Elders in a different area have been teaching her for a while and arereferring her to us since she just graduated! She sounds SO AWESOME! We'rereally excited to meet her :)
Heres a story about a spiritual prompting Sister Baggett and I bothreceived this week.  So we had to take out the garbage but we live on thesecond floor and weren't going outside yet.  So we decided to put thegarbage bag out on our balcony.  Then we forgot to take it out... and thenended up putting another bag out there.  Well one day we were leaving theapartment and both had the prompting to go and get the garbage.  Neither ofus did... and then it poured rain and they filled up with water and it waskinda nast.  Sooo moral of the story: LISTEN TO PROMPTINGS.  Even when theyseem like they might not be a big deal hahaha.  We could have saved ourselfsome trouble.
I was reading in Alma this week and something really stuck out to me inchapter 31 verses 30-33.  Alma prays for strength and patience to getthrough his afflictions and infirmities.  He doesn't pray for the trials togo away, but prays for help to get through them.  I think that shows anenormous amount of Faith! God won't always take our trials away.  In fact,he allows us to go through trials so that we can learn and haveexperiences.  BUT! We can rely on him for strength and ask him for thepatience to endure hard times.  "O Lord, wilt thou give me strength, that Imay bear with mine infirmities." And in 31: "O Lord, wilt thou grant untome that I may have strength, that I may suffer with patience theseafflictions which shall come upon me"   There is so much that we can learnfrom Alma :)
I can't believe that transfer calls are already this week! Crazy.  Time isgoing by so speedy quick.  I hit 10 months last week! Weird, eh?

Love you all!
